In general, Orthodox Christians eat what is presented to them, as St Paul indicated, since our goal is not to boast in our fasting which is, in a way, "in secret." The best is to hint at the hosts that a "fasting" meal is in season, especially if they are Orthodox, but if that is not possible the best is to eat whatever is served (with the possible exception of bloody / stangled foods according to the canons) and "give glory to God for all things..." |
